Case Studies
Zwift has put together several case studies with the focus on ordering online.
Small independent retailer
- Pedros Pit Pizza
- Bay St, Port Melbourne.
Pre Zwift installation scenario
A successful family owned local
pizza retailer that has a loyal client
base and a reputation for making
great pizza. With a small amount
of staff onboard Pedros spends a
lot of time in preparation for peak
service times. During their peak
times the phones at Pedros don’t
stop and they are losing one of
their staff from the kitchen as well
as a delivery driver to answer customers
calls. The resulting extra
man hours spent on the phone
increased their expected delivery
time enormously.
Marketing at Pedros consisted of
take-away menu letterbox drops
within the local area and the effectiveness
of this type of advertising
was impossible to accurately calculate.
Pedros had no online presence
so marketing in this arena
was never an option, as such they
felt as if they were losing customers
to the larger players in the industry.
They knew they needed to
target the online marketplace but
the time and money required to
develop a comprehensive online ordering and marketing portal was
far beyond reach. Pedros owner
Marco Calderazzo found it diffi -
cult to compete with the industry
big players due to their marketing
presence and power.
Post Zwift utopia
With the installation of a simple
and streamlined yet comprehensive
and dynamic ordering system
things at Pedros have dramatically
changed. The phones barely ring
during peak times and the average
delivery waiting time has been reduced
dramatically. The extra man
hours saved through not answering
so many telephone orders has
allowed the business to run more
effi ciently and effectively. The flat
screen which Zwift installed next to
the front till informs the till operator
when new orders arrive along with
a live summary of the shifts totals.
The receipt printer in the kitchen
automatically prints the order information
along with the customers
delivery address. Marco can rest
assured that every order received
through the online ordering portal
has been paid for and verifi ed before
being processed. The new system
allows for a much higher order volume than could ever be reached
with traditional phone ordering.
The new streamlined order process
saves an enormous amount of time
for the business and their customers.
All customer information is automatically
stored into the marketing
portal so now Pedros can easily
market towards their customers automatically
through the intelligent
automated marketing portal. This
portal profi les customers according
to who they are, where they are,
what they’re ordering and when
they’re ordering so the advertising
sent has the highest chance of effectiveness.
Pedros now competes
on a level playing ground as the industry
big players. The easy to use
customised website that still looks
and feels like the family owned restaurant
and a superior marketing
ability has allowed Pedros to stay
ahead of the curve and easily compete
with competition all for the
cost of a couple of large pizza’s a
week.
Pedros now enjoys access to their
online portal where they have access
to so much more:
ο Detailed order statistics
ο ustomer locations pin pointed
on an interactive map
ο Order summaries, products
sold, ingredients added/removed,
average/minimum/
maximum order times
ο Customisable menu items,
prices, photos, information
ο
Knowing who and where Pedro’s
customers are along with what and
how much they are purchasing has
allowed them to be able to target
area’s with traditional print marketing
and reward their loyal custom

The parents are easy to please
